This Brussels-based trio manage to reach the back row even with their minimal set-up. Literally. With an extremely long microphone cable, the singer races through the audience while the drummer and keyboardist/bassist fire off tight-as-hell post-punk grooves. Combined with the existential, millennial lyrics, it’s a poppy, trashy and completely infectious trip with no escape. Having conquered venues across Brussels this year, including Volta and Magasin 4, Stakattak currently have two EPs in the can and are fresh off a whistle-stop tour of the European underground-punk-squat scene. And now they’re coming to Beursschouwburg as a literal embodiment of the name Out Loud.
